Some legal alternatives are don't steal it and sell it you can watch it its just against the law if you sell it or that's what i've been told by others. My feelings about this is that people you know are breaking the law what if they sell you those movies you could go to jail it's a little scary.

I feel that piracy is a crime but if they don't want people to download movies and songs they should stop all the websites such as Limewire, and other movie sites. I believe if someone downloads a movie and doesn't sell it is legal but if they sell it they are comitting a crime.
This a kinda a problem, but not. So many people down load music and movies. If its such a big problem then they should take all the sites off the interant then. If they did that then people wouldn't be down loading movies and songs.

i feel this shouldn't be a crime because how do we know that it is pirited because sometimes the producers put videos on the internet for people tp download. some thing people could do to stop the downloading is find what programs that the people are useing and find a way to shut them down off the internet so that kids can't download.
what i think about how to stop this crime is to say take all the systems that allow you to download all the music or movies say like limewire,ares,kaza, and all that kind of stuff.I know one thing for sure no matter how hard you'll try to stop it you'll never suceed.Because some body will find a way to download them
I usually don,t download music or videos of the internet. Some people go on limewire to download music and movies, or websites that make you watch commercials and adds when you download there free songs. A legal alternative would be that website i was just talking about.
Piracy is a very controversial topic, infact many kids our age are probably downloading music, movies, and etc as we speak. I feel that it's completely silly really, why have these programs out there then if they're illegal? Why wouldn't they be shut down. To be honest I don't know much about the legal consequences to be and i've been filled with a lot of information that I can't say is correct or not because I don't know. I think kids should be more educated on this subject, after all they should know if they're committing a crime. Some alternatives would be buying the cd/movies from the actual stores, buying them off of iTunes, or listening/watching for free on YouTube.
I dont like how people pirate movies because then we when we rent a movie we have to watch comercials like this before the movie, and that ticks me off because we dont know where our renote to the dvd player is have the time so we can then skip them! I dont download movies at all nad I dont want to because on our computer it would take a couple days. Some legal things done are encrypting the cds so people cant burn them onto other one. Some other things are done like pay to watch site though Im not sure all of them have the companys permission though.
I feel that downloading stuff on the internet is not good. It's a crime. You shouldn't copy this stuff not only is it illgal but it also can have many viruses and can wreck your computer but mostly your life, if you get caught u can go to jail. Why would you steel? you wouldn't steel a car,handbag or movie. So ..
WHY? just think about it cause steeling and copying is wrong. Think before you do things. You may get in lots of trouble. What if everyone copyed movies? then mabey they would band movie stores and people who dont have computers will not be able to whatch movies. They might band limewire and things like that. So think
I know of alot of people that download music and vidios from the internet. I think that if its illegal that people should shut down all the sites that allows people to download them. I know there are hundreds of sites to access movies and music illegally and that makes it easier to get them. Some different ways to watch vidios and listen to music is to watch them on youtube or to buy them on itunes.
To be honest I have downloaded a few movies off the internet. And It's also the way that I watch UFC fights if I can't scramble up my own cash for the PPV. Plus I also see it as the same thing as downloading music. There will never really be a way to stop this but maybe if Places like blockbuster dropped their prices, maybe people would stop downloading games and movies. I think it's rediculouse that it cost $10.50 to rent a videogame for a week, But i don't know their movie prices. Plus places like CD and movie stores should start advertising more. I only see the odd comercial or add for new CDs. There is a a new ACDC CD coming out and I haven't even seen a comercial for it yet. If I was ACDC there would have been comercials for that like 3 months ago!
I feel that its not that bda if you pay for it. Like on Lime Wire Pro you have to pay a curtain amount of money a month to download your songs and movies. Most of kids are age download songs and put them on a disc or our I-Pod's. We rent movies download them on to are computer's and then burn it on to a disc so we dont have to pay 20 bucks for the actual movie. Or you can download a movie on Lime Wire and then burn it on to a disc. Some legall altenatives would be like I-tunes and youtube.
i believe that piracy is a stupid and desperate plot to get money from selling them on the streets, and to save money down-loading them, other than buying the, in the store. I do know that teens are dowlaoding illegal videos from the internet, and most of them get off the hook, but others get caught. one way thats legal is to just go buy the movie, song, or video, or look it up in Youtube!
I feel that piracy movies are a crime because ur stealing other people's work and you are breaking the rules...
I think that when downloading free stuff it shoudn't be wrong it should be if you are selling what you download off the computer/internet.
It is ok to download movies off the internet because it easy to download movies it is cheaper then going to the store and buying a movie, and if the store does not the have the movie you want you can download it on to your computer.
I think this is a crime but i think that if they don't want people to download music in movies they should get rid of Frostwire and Limewire and other things like this so people don't download for free. People all over the world download illegal stuff and there would be no way of really catching people doing this since millions of people are doing it.Some legal alternatives are youtube, itunes or you could go to the store and buy the movies or cds instead of downloading.
i think that people should not steel things and should be reported to the police.
I think that privacy is not a crime. Privacy is good, everyone need it every once in a while. ALthough I do know people who have copied or recorded videos and music, simply because they can't afford it, or don't have the time to go into town to buy them. Legal alternatives of copying CD's, DVD's or anything else are getting fined X amount or dollars and maybe even getting put in jail. Either way, I don't do it, and I think other people shouldn't do it either.
i don't know. Like pretty much everyone in the entire world would download movies or music. I don't see how they have the websites that allow you to download whichever, yet they leave it on the interent. If you go to a download site of whatever it'll just show you " download now " or something, yes, i bet it could be illegal in sorts of ways. But, people should be able to download music & movies because all we do is watch or listen to them, but i guess some people have no other ways so they download it and go selling.
Me and also people my age both think that it is ok to download music and movies online, as long as you are not making money off it by selling them and repetitively making more copies to sell for profit
I think that it is a bad thing that people are doing, but I know that everyone is doing it even adults. Now with prices of almost everything going up people want to save money on everything. You could also go to youtube and go see whatever video you want whenever.
I think that its not bad. All you have to do is type in the band name and all of thier music shows up, me personaly I use limewire for music and getting the newest mettallica videos and that stuff.
I think that if you download music and movies and you don't sell it then you should be fine and not get in trouble.Ithink that a lot of people my age are doing this. I even download music i don't see why it is a crime to download music and listen to it on my spare time. I think that if you are selling products then the cops should be involved.
I think that piracy should be stopped. It would be a lot less risky if you just went into the movie store and bought it. It wouldn't be AS bad if you payed for it when you downloaded it, but I would still rather go to the store, because on line you don't know about the source it is coming from. A legal alternative is just to go buy it in the store...
