I think media education is important in this world because if we don't learn about you won't know what is going on in the world.
Media is important to me by how much information they tell us young people and how they show us new technology. Some ways the media helped me is by watching T.V., mp3's, computers, and newspapers. I think it's a good thing they have media because it teaches me really interesting stuff.
Technology has changed the world so much over the years and it is coming to a point that to can't even figure out how to do simple things. In a way this is great but we will probably lose touch with it over the years, the same way our previous generations have. We might not even know how to use basic things that our new generation of people will be able to do every day.
i think that the media is important because with out the media we would have to find out the news by passing it on to another person and then to aother and so on and eventually it would change and it wouldn't be true by the time it reached the last person in the city. the media also helps us create diffrent skills like how to search things on the internet and just how to communicate and diffrent ways of thinking because the media it shows 2 points of view like if someone was murdered then they could interview the killer and the prosecution.
technology is very big in this time and the importance is rather large. Studying History, learning about people, talking to people far away, transportation, ect. all this largley relies on technology. and young people need to learn about it and learn how to use it.
Technology is a large role in education, communication, transportation. and many careers work with technology. so if you dont learn how to use it... youll have a limited to a future career!
Technology is a big thing in a teens life these days we gotta text and have our music thats the main importants,School? not so much.(we would study just with either music or texting.)
The media is so scary today it has changed alot since the old days ,little black and white tv to todays 50' LSD widescreen tvs. Media education we get everyday not in class but all around us, its not a bad thing at all.

We need to have it because, pretty much everything now a days is technology. The people who don't have a good education will have a job that pays liked 10$ an hour, because they don't no how to do anything.

Today the media and technology has changed dramatically and will continue to get more advanced in the future. If people are not quite getting used to or figuring out all the different electronics that are coming out, they are going to have troubles with future divices. That is because they are just adding different settings or programs and usually just making the divice smaller.
I think media education can be good and can be bad. When using the computer and on the phone while doing homework is okay, But texting while doing homework is not okay, unless it has to do with homework issues. The technoligy for kids today is very diffrent from the past. There are new ideas and new things to do. When on the phone now adays you can talk to two people on one line. Where it used to be only one. So many things are diffrent and kids are getting up to date with this new technoligy. Kids can multy task and do many diffrent things with technoligy at the same time. Therefor I think it is good because kids are becomming more smarter and more educated in different ways.
Media education is now important for us because we use a lot of computers and we need to now whats safe on there and whats not. If we didnt have and media education, we would be downloading all those viruses and falling for those scams that are on the side of the web page you are viewing that say "You won a free ipod!".Like those are real... We also need to know whats right to do on the internet as well, so we dont think hacking on someones paypal account for their credit card number. Managing the information we find on the internet is important too and we need to know whats real and whats old or fake.
Media has advanced since the first computer was made. These days people need education in media we even take it in school. We can do just about anything on the computer from making letters to talking to someone across the world. Its amazing the things we can do with tecnology I can't imagine what we would do with out it.
I think that the media and technology are going to just keep developing and frankly, it's a little hard to keep up with. Everything is getting more complicated and a lot more advanced. I think it's important to have a somewhat education about the media, but you have to be careful about getting caught up in it. To be media literate you also have to have your own set of morals and stick to them no matter what. Also, you should be yourself and not try to change it. This means not being hurt by the criticism and judgement of others because there will always be people who want to bring you down. To sum it up, anyone really can be media literate you just need to have a good head on your shoulders and be good at communicating. Of course, there are other skills that go along with it to that you may have.
i think this quote is false because anybody with no sense of knowledge at all can learn to use a computer because it is so simple. the only difficult part is the searching.
I think that we do learn alot from the media and if we didn't have that we would not know alot of the information that we know now.

I think that education is really important. Without education, we wouldn't even HAVE all of the technology we have today. I think that to be media literate, all you really have to do is pay attention and follow along. If you can't follow along then maybe you SHOULD go through some sort of education.
