I do not know how much is to much don't text at all. don't have a cell phone.almost 24/7 advantages are you can get the message to the person without being their disadvantages are you can send inapropriate messages
i think if you cant do anything without your cell then you have a problem. i think the average time that people text it bout 3 hours a day. an advantage of texting are that it is cheaper then calling. but the downside is you may not know who is getting your text and some people use so much slang and abreaviations and stuff like that that is so hard to read its not even funny.
Some people text more than other people. I dont know how much people my age spend texting but im sure its alot. An advantage of text messaging is that you can keep in touch with the people you need to. A disadvantage is that you might get annoying or all you do is text and stuff
If you can't go anywhere without your phone and texting thats too much. I have sent bad texts to people to try to respond to other bad texts and they would have also responded to me and some disadvantages of texting is that when your trying to tell something to a friend they might let everyone around them see and some advantages of texting is that you communicate with others more often. It can also help build confidence when going to socialize with other people to.
i think that people text to much i have seen people text each other in class casue they can't go over and talk face to face or there not allowed cause ther in the middle of a lesson i think people are age spend like %50 of there life texting other people i know that might not be true but what i have seen it seems like there are don't have a cell phone so i can't text my parents are not in a big rush to get me one just becasue of phone bills from my other siblings from texting to much im not saying it is bad im just saying that we could probably use less time on it and more on other more important things.

I think that texting can be alright, but if you do it every minute of the day, then it can be a little too much. I don't really think that any text is inappropriate unless it's something the other person doesn't want to hear. I'm not big into texting so I've never sent a bad text to anyone. I've never received any bad texts so far, so I hope it stays that way. I think that in one day, a person usually texts for about fifteen to twenty minutes. There is nothing really bad about texting except for a lot of people might text you at some point keeping you concentrated on your cell and not what your were doing before. An imortant theme is people can kind of creep you out with texting or really bother you when you want them to stop.
There is a limit of texting but if its crossed just ignore the texts, turn of your phone. Its just a text not a big deal.
I think that texting to the point where your thumb hurts or bleeds, may be too much texting. Other than that I think that texting is a quick, efficient way of communicating. I have sent lotsa inappropriate texts and I've received even more. Most of my texts contain at least one swear but that's just the way I text. I think texting is good, clean, fun but then I think of all those people that get sexually harassed through text messaging so I think that if your texts are appropriate and your thumbs don't bleed, you're still good.

I feel that when texting gets to be more of a persons life than actually communticating with other people then it gets to be too much. I think that if people can live without their phones for a few hours or even a day then they have a serious problem. With texting there are some problems. You can recieve messages that you don't want and aren't very nice at all.
Personally I think that this generation is to technolagy savvy. I mean what happened to snail mail, phone conversations, and just plain old going for coffee? I think this generations texts to much for our own good. It is bothersome and you cannot read the person emotions so you do not know if they are serious or joking.
I think people should have phone and text for good reasons (eg. if you are lost you can call for help or text someone to find them). No one has a serious conversation anymore. It is degrading and pointless conversations. Disadvantages are that it is bothersome to be going off and bothering you and other people. Very pointless I would say.

When people are text 24/7 it is crazy, every free second they have they are sending text messages, and even in class I think that is way over board. Too much texting is when your phone is always dieing becuase you've used it so much and it's dead by five in the afternooon and you charged it at seven that morning. I have a cell and I tend to text sometimes but it all depends on the day. Sometimes I will go days without texting becasue I just don't feel like it. Other days I will text like there's no tomorrow. It's really not that big of a deal. Either the person can never put there phone down (which then they obviously have a problem) or then there's other people that just don't care to text a person back. It's up to the person on how much they want to text. It's no one's choice but your own adn if you don't feel like having contact then shut your phone off. No big deal.
Too much texting is when you need to be texting all the time even in class time when you should be working. I have sent and recieved inappropriate texts, but really i guess it doesnt matter cuz its personal on texts between you and that person, usually i just have gotten mad at friends and thats whats inappropriate. I do think people our age spend alot of time texting but its waht we have grown up with and its a big part of our generation now.
