Australia divides high school years into four terms. A high school year goes from January to December.
Term 1: end of January - beginning of April
Term 2: end of April - end of June
Term 3: mid-July - mid-September
Term 4: beginning of October - beginning of December
There is short vacations between terms, the 4th term end with longer summer vacations.
School starts at 9 am finishes approx. at 3:30pm.
In grade 12 Australian high school students get prepared for matriculation which grants them access to universtites or colleges.
there is a dress code at the high school in Australia.
School starts at 9 am und finishes approx. at 3.30 pm like us.
Matriculation is like graduating there.
Australia divides its high school year into four terms.
Each state or territory has its own name for the Year 12 matriculation certificate .
The school months would be completely different, on a trip i'd probably see kanagroos..hopefully =), the weather would become so much warmer, december would be hot instead of freezing, and matriculation would be the same as graduation here. Matriculation allows access to universtities and colleges in Austrailia.A school year there goes thoughout the whole year. going from January to Deecember, when here it only goes from the end of August to the end of June.
In Australia they have school pretty much all year long, they don't have school from end of August to end of June. They don't have two months summer holidays between school years, they just get breaks at different times during the year. During their grade 12 year the students get ready for their Year 12 exam (high school graduation or matriculation), if they pass they are given access to apply to the Australian colleges and universities.
I would have to go to high school for four terms. There would be short breaks at the end of every term and them a summer vacation of a little over a month in December to January. If you are an international baccalaureate is recognized internationally and is important for all students attending Austrailian High School. It is good for alternative education and traditional school programs. This is what you get so that in the future you could get the International Baccalaureate Diploma[IB]. This is the two year pre-university program for students in High School. These students was to be internationally recognized and will be able to sudy at any international university of their choice.
While passing successfully the the 12 year exam[high school graduation] you can apply to a university.
That seems pretty intense with
tests and everything I am glad I live in Canada with our school system.
You would go to school from January to december, there are short vacations during the year, they start their day at 9am to 3:30pm,they have to pass high school to get matriculation to go to colleges and universites.
I think that being in an Australian high school would, for lack of a better term, suck.
1. No big two-month summer holidays.
2. The school year is actually a whole year.
3. Four semesters.
4. Term one starts right at the end of January.
5. The last term ends beginning of december
1. They have to attend school from January to December and we attend from september to june.
2.They have vacations in between each term.
3.After they graduate, if they want they can carry on and go to university by earning a diploma.
4. They also have pre university programs.
5. Each state or territory has different names for there graduation year.
In Australia they get a vacation after every term we don't. They have pre university programs we don't. We get allthose special day breaks.
The Australian high schools are made up into 4 terms:
Term 1: end of January – beginning of April
Term 2:end of April to the end of June
Term 3:mid-July to mid-September
Term 4:beginning of October to the beginning of December. Matriculation is what students get when they pass the high school cirriculumm. Every school has its own matriculation and each one is different. A matriculation does not guarantee that student into a high school but it gives a better chance. Students that wish to take a special program in the Australian high schools can take what is called and international baccalaureate if the student is between 11 and 16 years old. This is international recognized. A student that is older can take what is called an international baccalaureate (IB). This is for students between the ages of 16 and 19 and is designed for students that wish to graduate from an Australian high school with a degree that is international recognized.
They go to school from January to December. Term 1 starts January to beginning of April. Term 2 starts at the end of April to end of June. Term 3 starts midJuly to mid-September. Term 4 starts at the beginning of OCtober to beginning of December.
1. They have to go to school from January to December.

3. If they want to go to university they have to have a diploma.
4. They have a matriculation that is a certificate of education which gets them also into university.
5. When they write a final exam they do it competetively overseas or other students to qualify for a high school graduation.
1) They have to go to school from Janruary to December.
2) If studants wanted to carry on with school and go to unniversity they will need there diploma.
3) There vacation time was short in term 1-3, in term 4 it would be much longer.
4) Students must have there high school graduation or matriculation to go onto further schooling.
