Think of what a new concept this must have been and how frustrating it may have been for some. 100 years later, can you relate the era of "hard copy print to electronic version". Where are your parents at with technology? Do they have a facebook account, an email account, a wiki space, a blog, are they on MSN or know how to log onto any of these applications. Do your parents read the newspaper on-line, or use google to research information. my dad is just about were i am because he works with this stuff but my mom knows nothing. She has trouble shuting of the computer.
My parents are fairly comfortable with technology. My dad has a facebook page and both my parents have email accounts. The only time we use snail mail is sending christmas presents or school pictures. They usually read the paper not on the internet. My mom especially needs lots of help with computer programs.

I can see how this was so much trouble for him becuase I have seen the transformation from books to computers. My parents are fairly good with computers allthough they still need help with some things. One of my parents have a face book acount, and they know how to use emails and that sort of stuff. My parent use computers every day and are quite comfortable with using them. They know how to use msn and somethimes do. They send emails to get caught up with family members. In my house everyone has there own computer. My parents are pretty good with computers. My dad is slower than my mom. My mom has MSN,Facebook,Email,and use Google to search things. In my home the computer is used alot by everyone in my family. my parents use the internet for looking up information and my brother and I use it for everything. The one most common thing we use our computer for is sending e-mails. Everyone in my family has a cell phone, my brother and i are comfortable using ours but my parents aren't so much that is only because they didn't grow up with the technology we did.
Personally everyone in my family is comfortable with technology and they know how to use it. So I almost never need to help my parents. Both of my parents and all my grandparents use computers for there jobs, they all have facebook and e-mail accounts and are able to use technology efficiently.

My Mom is ok with the computer, she has a facebook and uses an e-mail most of the time. My dad on the other hand knows nothing about technology and on the computer only knows how to push the power button which is anoying because he will turn it off when have something on the computer and say its wasting power. My parents use technology for entertainment and work. Our labtops are our main source oftechnology becuase we use it every day. We are comfortable with technology except for the price. My parents do use facebook and things like that. We are comfortable with technology.
