Day 26 Blog

Good Morning. On Friday, you had an opportunity to listen to two former Olympian Athletes, Jason Parker and Lori Ann Mundt, both former YRHS students. What was the message they gave you? What did it take for them to become that Olympian Athlete, one as a team member, the other as an individual athlete? These two athletes came in coordination of the Olympic Torch coming to Yorkton for the weekend. If you had an opportunity to see the torch, comment on your observations. Tyler Eftoda was an Olympian Torch Bearer for the YRHS. If you see him in our halls, congratulate him, this was a "once in a lifetime" opportunity.

The message they gave us was that we shouldn't ever give up on our dreams. It took allot of heart, spirit, and will to continue and not give up. I actually saw the torch but in my opinion I dind't think it was as good as I thought it would be.

The message Jason and Lori Ann gave us, was that there is an olympian in all of us. What it took for them to become an athlete was determination. I did not get a chance to attend the torch run.

The message they gave us was that if we tried we can accomplish anything we want. To be an athlete they had to try hard and not quit. I didn't see the olympic torch.

The message the formal olympains that came to our school was that if you keep trying your hardest you can get to where they were. It took them lots of time and effort to get to the olympics.

Jason Parker, and Lori Ann Mundt, taught me that if you try your hardest to accomplish your goal you can achieve them. It took these two athletes, determination, hard work, and a love for there sport, to make it to the olympics. They also had to learn to cooperate with other teamates, and to make the best of situations.

The message that they sent to the audience on Friday was, "if you set your mind to it you can do anything you dream." The team member had a team to train with so it was easier. The guy who had to train alone however had little to no modivation from his friends.

The message both athlete's gave us was basically "Think It, Dream It. Believe It, Achieve It."

It took hard work, persistance and the ability to get back up again and again no matter what.

The message they gave us was that we can make our dreams come true if we work hard and keep getting back up when we fall. For them it took their whole childhood to train and get ready for what they wanted to do they got pushed down a few times they got right back up and didn't stop till they made it where they want to go.

The message that they gave us was if you have a dream to go to the olympics believe in that dream and try to purse it. For them to become an olympic athlete they had to train hard, and put all their heart into it. Also for them to be a team athlete they would have to accept there team mates and work together.

The message they gave me was that if you want to acheive a goal in life you have to work hard and not give up.

The speakers told me that whatever my goal or dream is I should always try and acheive it. for them to become olympic athletes they had to work really hard and always be practicing. I went to see the torch but i was only there for five minutes and i didn't really much.

The message they gave us was that ,"Think it, Believe it, Acheive it, Be it" and "It doesn't matter how many times you fall down, what matters is how long it takes you to get back up." It took both of them a really long time to achieve what they have done. They have had obstacles that haven't been easy to overcome. Lori Mundt had to switch positions on her volleyball team, and Jason Parker broke his collarbone and got sick before the olympic trials.
I actually was in the choir that sung for the torch and I thought that it was a really great production.

On Friday the Olympian athletes told us that every person has an Olympian inside them. Both of the Olympians had a rather difficult time going to the Olympics with sickness and changes.

The message they left us with was to never give up. If you fall then you get back up again and it takes sacrifice to become great. I didn't get to see the torch run but it must of been pretty cool.

The message they gave us was to look for our goals and try to achieve them. If we fall down we are supposed to get back up. They fell down lots but always tried to get back up and so they became a olymipan athlete.

The message the Olympian Athletes gave us was to never give up on your dreams. You need to work hard to make them come true. To get where the Olympians are now they trained there whole childhood, they never gave up,and they pushed to be the best they can be.

The message that they gave me was to never give up and always keep trying. It took alot of motivation and hard work for them to be where they are, today. I was with the choir for the Olympic Torch ceremony, and it was a very interesting experiance to watch some of the dancers and to see one of our students, Tyler Eftoda, be able to be the torch bearer!

I think the message they were sending out was to never give up and to pursue your dream, no matter what it is because you can accomplish it and I never got to see the torch.
