Norbert Georget came to talk to us about drugs and drinking while driving. His message was it is ok not to do those things. If you do them you put yourself and others at risk of harm.
I think Norbert Georget had a very important message to share with everyone at our school. He shared important facts about drinking and driving and drugs. I think his best point was the fact that he was saying it's okay to say no. People will learn to accept you if you do say no. Hopefully with his presentation it will change people's attitude towards drinking and drugs, for being able to see the conequences.
Mr. Georget shared with us that drinking and driving isn't good. Also texting and driving , just as dangerous as drinking and driving. How fast an accident can happen is unreal , just looking down for a few seconds. He showed us what happens to you , your family and your peers when you crash . He also shared with us the effects of drugs. How much they ruin your life.
I found the presentation really good, though i had seen it last year. I like how he treats us as if we were one of his buddies that worked as a paramedic. He wasn't afraid to show us pictures which really let us get an understanding what it was really like. His presentation was about being distarcted during driving and using drugs.
The main idea I got out of Nobert Georget's presentation is drinking and driving, texting, and basically getting distracted while driving causes lives to be lost, all thanks to a careless driver, and foolish habits that no one thinks will cause a problem. People overestimate their driving skills, and think they can handle it if anything goes wrong.
I think that Norbert's main message was not to take drugs and not to drink and drive. He also said to drive safe and not to text and drive. He showed videos of what could happen if you don't drive safe so we don't do the same wrong thing.
I liked Norbert Georget's presentation. I thought it was a really good way of showing people that you're putting not only yourself but whoever else is in the car with you by drinking and driving, being under the influence of drugs, or texting while driving, at risk. Hopefully the message gets across.
When Norbert Georget came to the school the main idea he was trying to put out to teenagers was don't drink and drive it will kill you and don't do drugs because they do mess up your life.
When Norbert Georget came to our school on March 5th, he gave our school a presentation on Drinkng and Driving as well as Texting and Driving and how they can cause serious accidents and many people can lose their lives and loved ones because of a single persons carlessness. Norbert also talked about drugs and what they can do to a person who is usig them. Norberts speech was very powerful and helped people relize the seriousness of these things.
Norbert talked about car crashes and how fast it can happen. You could be talking on your phone one minute and the next be on your way to the hospital. There is many accidents that could happen while driving if you are impaired or distracted. There is a show on TV called Canada's Worst Driver that deals with many dangerous drivers.
On Friday March 5th, Norbert Georget came to the YRHS. Norbert talked about how he used to be a paramedic and how that is a very graphic and hard job. He showed us pictures, videos and voice clips of accidents due to alcohol and drugs. He showed some videos of people that have taken crystal meth and they said that you will die if you try it. "You will go crazy first, but you will die." is what one of the crystal meth addicts had said. He also had stickers that said “Its okay not to drink” and “Its okay not to do drugs.” I learnt a lot at that presentation and I hope everyone else did too.
Mr. Georget's presentation was quite an experience because he showed you real life incidents. He explained to us why we should not drink and drive. When we drink and drive we put so many people at risk. He also talked about how dangerous texting and driving can be. One split second you’re looking at your phone and you look up and your on the boulevard. He showed me how aware I have to be when I drive and not to put other people in danger.
Norbet Georget's presentation was all about the consequences of impaired driving along with drugs, texting while driving. And many other issues with todays drivers. His main message was to not only think about your life, but others you may effect with your choices.
Mr. Georget was sharing stories of his career as a paramedic. He was trying to tell us that we are not born winners, we are not born losers we are born choosers.
The Norbert Georget presentation really got me thinking. He reminded us that drinking, or doing drugs while driving can danger your lives, as well as others. He showed us pictures of people who made the life-ending mistakes and payed the ultimate price... Death. Not to mention the affects it had on that person's family. They were devastated. Texting while driving can have the same consequences, he really changed my perspective on this topic.
He pretty much talked about how bad drinking and driving, texting while driving and doing drugs are. Allot of the pictures were gruesome but they really helped you understand what these things can do to you and others around you.

Hey, Norbert's main message i think was not to drink, txt, and drive because it is deadly to anyone who comes in there way.
Norbert Georget came to our school and talked about the dangers of drugs and drinking and drivers. His main message he was getting across is that doing drugs or drinking, then going driving can be very dangerous. Most deaths in Canada are linked to drugs and alcohol, and he said his main goal is to try inform our young people about drugs and alcohol before its too late.
Norbert came to our school and brought a very good message with him. The message was very strong about drinking and drugs while driving, he also talked about texting and driving because that is becoming a big problem.
Norbert talked about how texting and driving is that same as drinking and driving. He wanted us not to text or drink and drive. He was scaring us because he doesn't want anyone to end up in a body bag dead because we have a lot to live for. The main messages is not to drink and drive and not to text and drive.
The main message of Norbert Georget's presentation was all about drugs and alcohol,and how they will ruin your life. He shows pictures and videos to show how scary and stupid you have to be to drive while high, drunk or texting.
When I watched Norbert Georget's presentation on March 5th.
I got the message that we shouldn't drink and drive and we shouldn't do drugs,
bacause he said, if we do drugs, we might be happy now, but in few years we will be on the street, broke with no money and our futures will be destroyed.
About the drinking and driving we should never drink and drive and text and drive because the call can wait, there are no phone calls that are more important than our lives.

Mr. Georget was trying to tell us that drinking or drugs cause the most deaths over Canada. Drinking and driving cause 75% of car accidents in Canada. Texting and driving is now a big concern. There was recently a law against texting and driving when the year 2010 started.
Norbert Georget's presentation I think was very helpful to our high school students. He talks to you about how bad drinking, drugs and texting are when you are driving and how they can affect you. The presentation also shows you how important it is to be responsible when you are in a vehicle for ourself and others.
Norbert Georget came to our school to inform us about drugs, driving under the influence, and texting and driving. Norbert used to be a paramedic and has experienced a lot of things. He showed us picture and videos and got straight to the point. His message is think twice before you get into something that may have a negative outcome.
Norbert Georget came to us last Friday to tell us about drinking and driving. Also what is becoming another major hazard is texting and driving, it's insane how many teens are killed each year because of this. What he went through being a paramedic was tragic and having to to go through it was truly sad. I believe that his main purpose was to make us think twice about doing anything while intoxicated and or texting while driving.
Norbert gave us a speech about drinking and driving, and also texting and driving. It was a good message about drinking and driving and that's it's not cool to do, but poeple think it is. It really made an impact on me, because poeple always say that it's bad but it never really made a impact on me till Norbert came in and gave me a taste of real life incidents that happen. After the assembly it got me happy that he took his time and shared his information with me.
Norbert Georget's Presentation was such an amazing presentation, it got alot of people to think how dangerous drinking, doing drugs and texting while driving is. He would show pictures and videos. There was also a voice recording. He showed and talked about how many people have died because of these things. He was even selling stickers, necklaces and so on. After the presentation you could go up to him and talk about something that happened to you that included these things.
