the hurricane in 1902 was the worst. but hurricane ike was bad for a place that hasn't had a hurricane in over 100 years.

Both Hurricanes caused tons of destruction, and killed thousands of people. Both had little warning, and were in Texas.

some of the main differences are that the one in 1900 killed 6000 people and this one now hasn't killed nearly as much. This one also destroyed the Houston Texans stadium so the the football game was delayed to Nov. which will upset the entire sports schedule.

The similiraties between the both were that they both happened in Galveston Texax. Both of these hurricanes caused huge amounts of damage to sky high buildings. The difference was that these happened 108years apart.Even so both as these will be remebered for their great destruction.

Hurricane Ike isnt as bad as the hurricane in 1900. Hurricane Ike was a bad disaster , the streets were flouded and no electricity but hardly anyone was killed. In the hurricane in 1900 over 6000 people were killed in thuis disater. Pretty much every building was distroyed and nothin was really left of the city.

Somw of the similarities are that the hurricane hit the same place 108 years later and they both wrecked many bulidings and took many lives.

I think that there are some of the biggest hurricanes ands its unfortunate that such a deadly hurricane killed so many people.

I think that both hurricanes caused lot's of damage and killed lot's of people But the hurricane in the 1900 was the worst in america and the deadliest.

I think the biggest thing is all the flooding and high waters that knocked over houses and covered them. They were both deadly hurricanes.

I think Ike was a terrible event but nothing was worse then when Alisha hit in the 1900's. They both were devestating but Alisha destoyed all of the city, and Ike did damage but not extremly bad. Alisha was the worst hurricane that hit the U.S.A.

Both hurricanes left alot of damage to Texas, but hurricane allisha was worse because it left over 6000 people dead.

I think these two hurricanes were both very powerful and much alike. But the differences were that Ike had lots of warning and the one in the 1900's didn't have much of a warning.

I think that the hurrican in 1900 was pretty deadly. So many people lost there life in both, and flooding was very bad in both hurricanes.

i think the hurricanes are kinda different. the one in houston and galveston 2008 didnt kill as many people and it didint damage the buldings as much as it did in 1900. the one in 1900 damaged the whole city and it killed over 6000 people. the one in houston and galveston was only a categorie 2. the one in 1900 was a categorie 4.

Both of them are deadly.
The one in 1990 was very deadly and lots of people died without warning! Most remains were ruble and bodys.
But Ike took alot of work from firefighters, rescue crews, coast guard.
It also had people stranded in floods, fres burning houses, and high winds.
My own oppinion is Ike was Scary and the one in 1990 killed lots.

The hurricane of 1900 in Galveston, Texas is said to be the one of the biggest natural disasters in all of the United States. So Hurricane Ike wasn't as bad as the one in 1900, but it still caused alot of damage. They both caused alot of damage from flooding and buildings were damaged, but Hurricane Ike also had fires. Also, over 6,000 people died in the 1900 Hurricane. The Hurricane of 1900 was a category 4 and Hurricane Ike was only a category 2, but still very devestating.

both hurricanes left alot of damage.alisha destroyed all the citys. alisha was the worst hurricane that hit the U.S.A it killed over 6000 people.

They are similar because they both were in Texas, the both killed many people with litte or no warning. The are diffrent because they year diffence is 108 years apart. In 1900 it was bigger and destoyed more it was named the deadlyest natural disaster in the U.S , theses hurricans are known for great distruction. Hurrican Ike had many fires burning, and many people with no electricity, also leaving water waste high. These hurricans were great destruction. Leaving many people dead or without a home.

I think that the hurricane in 1900 was the worst because it killed over 6000 people and left the city completely damaged. Hurricane Ike is also left the city damaged but was only a catagory 2 when the hurricane in 1900 was a catagory 4.

I think the hurricane from 1900 left alot of destroyed buildings. But the one in 2008 didn't have very many destroyed buildings and it was only a catagorie 2. the only things that they have in common is that they hit the same place and they killed people.

I think the one that hit Galveston in 1900 was worse because it killed so many people and destroyed so much. I agree with the video that its one of the worst natural disasters to happen to america. I think maybe the reason that the one in 1900 took so many lives was that it came without a warning and people didnt know what to do. Ike isnt that terrible compared to others but it still is pretty bad with all the fires and buildings destroyed.

Both of these hurricanes were very sad events. THey have both killed many many people and destroyed a lot of buildings and homes. Even thogh the one in 1900 was level 4 and this one was only level 2 I think this recent one did more damage to the state of texas. back then there weren't nearly as many people or buildings but now they have to rebuild and repair these buildings and homes which will cost much more than it did back then.

well a big difference was they happened 108 years apart. Some similarities are they both were very deadly. Both these hurricanes caused death, water damage, building damage. pretty scary...

Me wat i think about hurricanes that they would probobly be scary to be around like they sound wicked and they damage alot of houses, familys and messes up towns, city and a hole lot of ohter stuff pretty much there all the same and i odnt they will ever stop having them

Anonymous said...

the one that was a long time ago was more dangerous because it wasnt cool

the similarities to the two hurricanes are that they were both very distructive and they both were in the state of Texas.
