Day 6 Blog
Today you are required to go back through the Blog archive and read other classmates' blog posts. We are going to be developing a rubric for the different level of bloggers. There will be four categories of bloggers; beginning, developing, proficient, and strong. I want you to find examples of blog entries from either of the two classes that might be good examples of each of these categories. Ask yourself what criteria is making the blog entry fall into a particular category. What do you think should be considered when marking a blog entry? Your input now, will help develop a rubric for this class.

Beginner- I think that the reply would have ot be very general and doesn't go in to a lot of detail
Developing-this is a blog that has potential but has spelling errors and is still pretty general
Proficient- This is a good blog and has good grammer and strong oppinions but still isn't as detailed as it can be.
Strong- It is detailed and is well thought out and has good grammer.
I think a good blog would include your own opinion, some examples, and correct spelling. A bad blog would include misspelt (?) words, not much of an answer, and it would have little or nothing to do with the topic.
A good blog has lots of infomation and it is easy to read. A bad blog has no info and it very short.
Examples of a beginner response is:
> not using spelling and grammer
> only one sentence answers
Examples of a developing response:
> better spelling and grammer
> a little bit longer responses
Examples of a Proficient response:
> using spelling and grammer
> the sentences not always making sense
> but the over all blog is getting better
Examples of a strong response:
> using spelling and grammer
> a long response
> everything making sense
> over all, a good response
Most of the people that are blogging in our two classes are beginners because none of us have really blogged before and some of the grammar and spelling isnt correct on the blogs. I think when marking a blog you should mark on our spelling and how we wright the sentence, if the sentences make sense or not. The blog should be long and not short like one sentnce.
I think that a strong bloger has very strong words long paragraghs and makes sence and have alot of info about the subject. I think less experienced bloggers dont use as much iformation. You should mark people on there senctence structor and other things.
i think that a strong bloger should have lots of info. about the blog. the bloger should be able to make a good point. personaly i think i am a alright bloger.
It is easy to tell when a person is a strong blogger because he or she took the time to make sure that their grammer is correct. They also make sure that they in return to the question being asked, the have given a clear response. Sometimes they might even gather evidence to support their ideas depending on what the topic is about. It is also very easy to tell when a person is just a begginer because they could have spelliong mistakes everywhere, they could have also just write the first thing that comes to mind.
I think a really good blog is when you type lot's of important information about that blog. It is important to jot down things so the reader knows what you are talking about. A poor bloger would be someone who doesn't tell you anything about the blog subject, or someone who does not know what they are talking about.
i think a good blog is when a blogger tell what is really on his or her mind and aren't just going with what everyone else says.
a bad blog is when they go with what everyone says and not what they believe.
strong- Hotsko fact on hurricane
proficient- Kardynal's fact on hurricane
developing- Porter's fact on hurricanes
beginner-kardynal's fact on commercials
I think when ur making a blog, u should include lots of facts
I love the work that your class is doing!
Beginner- I think that the reply would have not be very general and doesn't go in to a lot of detail
Developing-this is a blog that has potential but has spelling errors and is general.
Proficient- This is a good blog and has good grammer and strong oppinions but still isn't as detailed as it can be.
Strong- It is detailed and has good grammer.

A good blogger is a person who tellsall the information and makes sense all at the same time. A bad blogger is a person who only puts a little information and doesn't spell correctly.
I think a weak blog would be hard to understand and the ideas wouldn't be sorted out properly. Weak blogging could also be language that wouldn't be appropriate to say in public. Stronger blogging would include more organization and your own oppinion about things.
A beginner response is:
- they only answer in sentences
- not alot of info or detail
- spelling mistakes
A developing response:
- better spelling
- longer responses
A Proficient response:
- using their spelling and grammar skills
- sentences not making people understand
- getting better
A strong response:
- using spelling and grammer skills
- a long response (paragraphs!)
- everything making sense
- good responses

a good blog has lots of info and ita easy to read. a bad blog is no info and its very short.
I think that a beginning blogger would be very simple and not specific, with maybe a sentence for an answer and within that sentence quite a few errors. A developing blogger maybe has a few sentences and is still fairly general. They might also not be consistant, one time they have a very good response and another time it's not the greatest. A proficient blogger is someone who has very strong opinions and explains their point very well. I think they would mostly have not many errors. A strong blogger is just a step up from proficient blogger and is mostly the same, but I think the strong blogger would have good sentence structure and go the extra mile.
Beginner bloggers- Someone whos grammer isnt that good.
Very short answers.
Devloping blogger- grammer and spelling still could be better
there responses are getting longer.
Proficient blogger- Spelling and grammer is good. Sentence structurte could be better. The blogs are really long and good.
Strong blogger- spelling and grammer is really great. nice long responses. makes sence. covers everything on the topic.
Beginner- I think that the reply would have ot be very general and doesn't go in to a lot of detail
Developing-this is a blog that has potential but has spelling errors and is still pretty general
Examples of a Proficient response:
> using spelling and grammer
> the sentences not always making sense
> but the over all blog is getting better
Examples of a strong response:
> using spelling and grammer
> a long response
> everything making sense
> over all, a good response
A bigginer blogger:
-doesn't go into detail
-isn't answered on time
-has a lot of mistakes in grammer and spelling
A developing blogger:
-a little better with grammer and spelling
-is becoming better at explaining themselves
A proficient blogger:
-blogs about the topic on time
-explains themselves, but it still could improve
A strong blogger:
-is aware of internet safty
-explains there feelings about the topic in full detail
-uses grammer and spelling correctly
BEGINNER- The beginner has a short sentence, and many mispelled words. They also do not make their blog specific.
DEVELOPED- The developed blogger has still a short blog but may now have a bit more imformation and not as much mispelled words.
PROFICIENT- The Proficent blogger may have a longer blog but still some simple mistakes. The proficient bloger may also have more imformation but not as strong as it could be, this blogger is very close to becoming a strong bloger. A bit more work and they woud be a strong blogger.
STRONG- A strong bloger has lots of imformation and makes it clear. They have good grammer and no spelling mistakes. They have full sentences. A strong blogger is a good blogger, usually someone who understands.
When marking a blog you should always check for spelling, sometimes it's okay if u have one or two spelling errors but having an entire sentence would not be proper. Using grammer and full sentences is also looked for in a strong blogger. And most important is that a strong blogger UNDERSTANDS. They understand what they are doing and how to do it.
Here would be how I categorize all the blogs and what group they go in:
Beginner: They have very short response and little detail.
Developing: They have an okay length response length and have some detail.
Proficient: Its a average response with an okay length and detail. They usually have good grammar and punctuation.
Strong: Its a great response with lots of detail and is a great length. It has great grammar and punctuation.
beginner- says there apinion and nothing else
developing- says there opinion and a little bit of information about what they are writing
proficient- has good spelling more then one opinion and a little detail
strong- has really good spelling a couple opinions and has lots of examples and details
Beginning: short sentence, very little detail, bad grammer.
Developing: longer in length, better grammer, some detail.
Proficient: Long in length and very good details and grammer.
Strong: a very well done blog. good in length, strong details, and very good grammer.
I have noticed that there are a couple of classmates have copied and pasted and i think that's really unacceptable and is a sign that u are not a strong blogger.
Beggining blogger usually have bad spelling short sentences with poor grammar. The developing bloggers are better then beginersq but still have slight problems with spelling and grammar but there sentences are still short. the proficient bloggers usually have good spelling and grammar but still aren't the best at blogging. the strong bloggers usually are really good at blogging and usually have blogged before
A beginner blogger wouldn't really have much to say they would not have good spelling, and would not have good use of grammer.
A developed blogger would expand their grammer and fix up some spelling errors but would still not be very detailed.
A proficient blogger will have good spelling, good use in grammer and has good punctuation, and have lots of details going toward their topic. A strong blogger would have a very detailed entry, and great spelling, always understandable, pretty much using everything they learn in english haha.
