Watch this short video clip on Piracy is a crime! How do you feel about this? What is the regular practice of people your age in regards to copying music or movies? What are some legal alternatives?

I don't really feel eny emotions about the ad. A regular practice for getting movies or mp3s for people our age is Limewire. A legal alternative is going out and buying the cds or the movies.
i think this video shows what it takes for a person to steal. I also think i also remember seeing that on T.V.
I don't see how downloading a video is such a terrible thing. If it was so bad why would they give access to these sites. Alot of people do download must and video's all the time. I understand that downloading a video instead of going to the movies, renting the movie, or buying the movie is the legal way to watch these video's.
I don't think that all the downloading is considered stealing. Most people use programs like limewire and frostwireand i don't know if that is stealing.
I feel that this video tells kids the truth, that pirating a DVD, or music is illegal. Just like stealing a purse. The regular way to pirate a DVD or music is to use a downloadable site. Or type in the movie or music on the internet and find a source to download it from. Some legal alternatives are using a trademark site, such as iTunes, where u must pay. Or buy the DVDs or CDs from a store.
I dont mind people piracying media becuase if it was such a big deal the sites that do this would be deleted and not be allowed to be on the internet. Yes people y age do this regularily. Some legal alternatives are you can but them of itunes or just buy the cd or dvd.
I think this is a crime but since the government isnt doing anything that they probly dont care what is happening. People our age would download music and movies because they like the songs and they don't want to go out and buy a whole bunch of cds instead they could just download the songs they like. Some alternatives are you could search the things you want to download on limewire or bear share.
I think piracy good cause then you don't have to buy everything but, its bad for the companies selling the product because they wont earn money on there product and its illegal. Most people download pirated music so its very commen. Nobody reports its so its become more popular.
People my age usually download music all the time, movies too, but not as often. Some alternatives would be to buy the artists' CDs and support them, or just listen to them online. Instead of downloading movies, to rent/buy them.
I feel that artists, directors and actors deserve money for the music and movies they make.

I think people should be able to copy videos from sites to let them have a couple of free things in life. They get used to copying stuff so they just want to download stuff like crazy. Itunes, you go out and by them from a store etc,.
Diwnloading is kind of bad because it steals music and movies from talented artists but some people don't have the money for itunes or buying the actual CD. I don't think its all that bad.

I feel that this is right if u wouldnt steal a car why should we steal other things? Most kids our age do download illegaly but probably don't even know it. People could legally buy CDs instead of illegaly downloading music from somewhere.
I feel that this is a very true video if you wouldn't steel a car, handbag, or a movie. If you steel a movie off the internet it is just as bad as steeling it out of a store. Some legal alternatives are itunes.
I think piracy of movies and CD's is very bad. I think more kids need to know that piracy is illegal. I also think we need more people enforcing the piracy laws. We can just expect people to just stop downloading illegal movies. An alternative to pirating illegal movies are sites that allow you to pay the owner of the song for there music. (I-tunes)

There are some people that download movies and other things that shouldn't be downloaded the people downloading them don't really care about it. Some people do care if other people are downloading movies from the internet but they can't really do anything unless they know the person downloading it. I don't think there are any legal alternatives to downloading movies illegally.
I dont really think nothing of it. I know that they shouldnt do it cause its illegal. They should think twice of the concequences they might face in the future.
I feel that this shows just shows what some kids are doing to save money. They think that by doing this it saves them money but really there wont be another movie like it because the dont have enough money to make another one. The teens save money, the producers lose the money. Inless someone bought it and wants to share it with you or copy it for a gift to a friend, this is not a good way of getting what you want.
I feel that this video clip on piracy is a crime is a very strong statement but people don't listen to it. People still go on to music things and downlaod videos of them instead of just going and renting it. People need to understand that it is illegal but why can we still do it. There should be a way for stopping this and people have to find the answer. Some legal things would be go to the theatre or go rent it.

I can undertand about downloading songs and stuff, downloadin aint that bad like there is still tons of music everywhere, its kinda better than buying cd's from your favorite band and not having the songs you wanna hear. Stealing on the otherhand is way different.
i feel that people should not be stealing anything because people who steal turn out to be really bad people. the legal regrad of copying movies or music is stealing from the interent because you are copying it from the interent and i think it is considered Piracy.

Piracy is not the worst thing in the world because movie's make alot of money just selling in theaters, but it does take some money away from the actors and people who rightfully deserve money from the film. I feel that piracy is a crime and should be delt with in a mature manner. People will take movies off of the internet to download which IS illegal. The "practice" of people my age (teens) copy music or videos but finding a website that has them and finds a way to take them "as their own" and downloads them. The legal alternatives to be able to listen to music and watch movies would be to: buy the movie, watch the movie on the computer, listen to songs on the internet without "making them yours", watch the movies on a movie channel or watch music videos on a music channel. The kids today don't know what the fine is for doing illegal things that they didnt know was illegal at the time.

Not many people buy pirated movies or download them but lots of people just watch them for free on www.watch-movies.net. Lots of people do this because it is just like youtube not illegal to watch them because there is no downloading. Since lots of people use frostwire and limewire people don't get in trouble unless there downloading burning and selling lots of music. A legal alternative is to pay like $1 per song on itunes so the writters get money for there songs.
i beleive that it should be allowed even though i do watch the odd movie online. But it is losing the makers of the movies millions.
